Roots Festival has
been attracting some
of the best names in
the Americana genre.
If Country, folk, blues, bluegrass, rockabilly, Cajun is your thing then Kilkenny is the place to be, come May Holiday weekend. This festival includes a number of free events.
Nature, heritage trails & picnic trails are just part of the line-
walk challenges, explore Kilkenny on a Hike and Bike, paddle the river in a CANADIAN CANOE, try out orienteering or discover the delights of a walk along the river-
Savour Kilkenny is a festival that takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend and truly is for all food lovers out there. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny, in Ireland’s South East, Savour brings together local and
national top quality food produce, talented Chefs, a mix of exciting, tasty food options in our food market, and plenty more for everybody to enjoy. Over the course of the festival, there will an extensive selection of both free and ticketed events. Browse food markets, watch cookery demonstrations, participate and listen to foodie discussions, enjoy a wide variety of specially designed drink and dining events in local hotels, restaurants, cafés and bars.
Since its foundation in 1974, Kilkenny Arts Festival has gathered many of the world’s finest musicians, performers, writers and artists in Ireland’s medieval city each August. For ten days, the city’s historic churches, castle, courtyards, townhouses and gardens offer a magical setting for unique collaborations and intimate encounters between audiences and artists.

With a new edition each November, the Kilkenomics Festival series brings together some of the world’s leading economists, financial analysts and media commentators with some of our funniest, sharpest standup comedians.
