Confusingly, this shop is known locally as Prendergasts (the shop front has a preservation order on it so the name can’t be changed to reflect the current owners). On Friday mornings (until around 1.00pm), a mobile fishmonger sets out his stall near the Ollie Walsh statue on Mill Street. A wide array of freshly caught fish is on offer but varies with the season. Salmon, halibut, monkfish, plaice, sole, lemon sole, kippers, mackerel, skate and prawn are regularly available.

It has fresh fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery, meat & fish counters, deli counter and off- license supplying a comprehensive range of wines, beers & spirits.
